SLAP screens at Leeds International Film Festival

Thank you to Oscar and Bafta-qualifying Leeds International Film Festival for officially selecting SLAP in their  British Short Film Competition 1: The Extraordinary Ordinary programme!

“Chewing gum and teddy bears collide in a kaleidoscopic and disturbing schoolyard drama of a young girl trying to fit in. This surreal and at times uncomfortable exploration is a physical shock to the system, as it delves into a dream-like exploration of youth, peer pressure and survival, transporting the viewer back to a time we may have wilfully repressed.

BAFTA Scotland nominee for best short film 2018.” - LFF

Raising Films

Pleased to announce I’ve been selected to participate in Raising Films’ Making it Possible 2019 development sessions!  Making It Possible 2019 is supported by ScreenSkills / British Film Institute (BFI) as part of the Future Film Skills programme. Making It Possible will empower successful parent and carer filmmaking applicants to focus on their individual goals, plan a route to achieve them and address the specific barriers and challenges they face.

I’m expecting the arrival of my first baby this week! So this course couldn’t come at a better time! My hope is for the sessions to help me feel inspired and prepared for this new chapter ahead where I’ll learn to strike the balance between career and parenthood. Over the winter my intention is to write my first feature film… so I’ll have my baby in one arm and my laptop in the other! :-) haa!!! Excited! I’ll keep you posted on how I go! xxx
